DR’s Extra-Life is the world’s finest coated string. Extra-Life has a super thin advanced .0003 coating on the plain strings and on the wrap wire. The wrap wire is coated before the strings is wound. The 1st and 2nd plain strings are coated before the ball ends are attached. This proven coating has been applied to products in the music field for years. It includes a corrosion inhibiting lacquer for extra protection against damaging substances such as perspiration, dirt, humidity, and “acid hands”.
